Partying/clubbing SICK

I was wondering your opinions on partying/clubbing sick.

FLTA's best DJ, GrooveEric has a weekly gig in South Beach, and I was there last week and had a BLAST, but went sick. Have been for the past 3 weeks. Sore throat, sneezing, all that crap. Now, I wasn't gonna go tonight, but only a short time ago I found out the opening DJ is another FLTA whom I like.

Also, back in 2002, I went to see Tiësto for the first time @ Space on 8/17/02, and I was sick. Managed to get through most of the night, but not much. At least I have the set from the live broadcast.

2 days later, I went to see Sasha @ CROBAR in Miami, and that was a lousy time. Being sick like this during parties is horrible.

Your thoughts?

Take care of yourself buddy. If you party sick, you will only make your illness last much much longer. :(

I know it totally sucks when you are sick and a wicked dj is in town.. I have partied myself sick and the next day/week or even 2 weeks have been hell!

You really should try to get as much rest as possible.. and if it is a dj that is around all the time then sit this one out and get yourself better...

I think you would be more upset if you missed a big name dj due to being sick then one that was around quite often.. I know I would be mad!

(and if you really must go out... lots of liquid, dristan, neo citren and sleep will do you well for the next few days) :D

DO NOT GO

I went to Ferry with a slightly sore throat, came out of there with 3 weeks worth of hellish suffering.

GO!!!!!!!

don't listen to cale....I was so sick after Armin....then went to C&C the next weekend....need to sweat that sickness away!!!!!!

hell don't listen to me...I was just lucky to get better even though it took 3 weeks

But i was determined not to miss C&C...so if you are as determined as I was GO...if not stay your ass in bed!

really depends...
if its contagious and your really sick...then stay home..no party or dj is worth getting worse ...or even infecting others...

but if its your everyday cold/cough....sure go ahead....just take it easy :)

there is nothing that relieves cold symptoms like mildly speedy e, lol...clears you right up...until it wears off and you're 10x worse a couple of days later, for sure ;)

stay home...you'll thank yourself later.

go sober.. plain and simple.

things like cigarettes, joints, alcohol and any other drug weaken your immune system.

but like kelly said sweating it out is good.

if you go sober and spend several solid hours dancing, then are able to go home and sleep you will feel great, and continue to get better. if you go and pollute your body with whatever (even caffeine!) you will spend several hours dancing, then go home feeling better and sleep and wake up feeling like .

ps. kelly has a sweet avatar.. i stole the other half ;):)

If it were a big DJ, I'd say... IT! JUST GO! I've been sick a time of two and have gone to parties...however I've never been REALLY sick...just maybe a cough or something. If it was just some resident DJ or a small event that wasn't that huge of a deal, then maybe pass. But like if Ferry or Tiesto were around, I would suck it up and go.
I notice though, that whenever I party at the Guvernment or something like that on a weekend, I usually tend to get sick anyway. My immune system is lowered from the lack of sleep and everything. The worst was after Ferry in April...I was sick for a good two months! It was nothing bad though...I would cough a lot for a week...then I would sneeze a lot...then sore throat...everytime I thought it was going away, something new would happen. I'm not sick anymore though...too bad I'm just not partying at all :(

I went to Tiesto at the Docks getting over a respiratory tract infection (non-contagious to others, of course). I was in the hospital 2 days before, and only went cuz the meds were working. Had the best time of my life. I had to take 3 days off after to make sure I stayed out of a grave though. Soooo worth it.

(But if you have something contagious, you must respect others!!) My opinion only. ;)

Personally I'd say no.
I always try to ignore my sicknesses and goto work and do my regular routine...

ALWAYS makes it worse

Rest up buddy
