Attention Dance Valley-ers

I'm flying into Amsterdam on August 4. That's as far as my plans go so far. I have no idea what to do! Experienced DV'ers, please help me out! :p
I assume I take a train to the place where Dance Valley is... anyone know how far this trip is and where I find out what train to take? Will I have to make a reservation? Because I'm assuming a lot of people are going to be taking the same train for the same reason...
I am staying in a hostel in Amsterdam on the night of the 4th. Then the 5th, I go to DV, and then I have to take the train back to my hostel? And then get up on the 6th and take the train back again? THAT SUCKS! I'm not camping there cause I don't know anyone... wtf... this is gonna suck. This is also another reason I need to know how long this train takes and how much it costs. :conf: :conf:
Anyone know any good hostels in Amsterdam? Or wanna give me some general advice... I'm a bit confused! :confused: |

haha, im with you lol!! this is totally gonna be such an adventure, but whatever, we can totally handle it ha :crazy:
yeah, problem with staying in a hotel and going in each day (i hear it's a 20 minute train-ride from dv to central station in amsterdam), is that you gotta pay for a second day's ticket!! i dunno about you, but id rather spend the extra 150euro or whatever on, uhhhh... the proper party necessities :disbelief :thepirate
but uh, yeah, couldnt hurt to book train tickets from amsterdam i guess? im sure youd be able to buy them at the station, and that trains run fairly often, but deff couldnt hurt... JP or someone, do you know exactly what city/train station we should be looking for? :)
anyway, yes people, please help us out!! i know a couple of yall staying in hotels (expensive ass ones at that!! haha :p ) in the city, but is anyone actually camping???
either way.. i have a feeling this IS gonna be 3 days of absolute debauchery.! crackhead weekend at its best haha! :crazy:^99999___ |

why would we have to buy a second ticket??? that makes no sense! can't we just buy the two-day ticket for 150 euro? I never heard anywhere that if you don't camp, you need to buy two? :conf:
anyway I hope it will work out, and it would be nice to stay with someone in the same hostel so I don't have to take the train to the hostel alone at night! |

| Wait, correction, according to www.dancevalley.nl, it's 62,50 E for Saturday only and 95 E for both days... not 150, my bad. So why would we have to buy two tickets, Gavin? :conf: :conf: |

it clearly states that if you leave the venue after the friday and dont camp, you will not be able to get in again.
ergo you would need a saturday ticket.
I was gonna do that and chill at a hotel the friday night, but I cant afford it, so I am only gonna go for the saturday :( |

Oh crap... so they sell a 95 euro double ticket for campers only basically. And the 62,50 ticket is for everyone who's not: we can only go Saturday. That sucks. So who wants to camp with me? :D |
