Why EDM?
1. What is it about this genre of music that you guys love so much apart from the other types of music.
2. Why do you prefer one type of EDM over another? |

1) My own musical tastes vary, and are fairly eclectic. However, something I find more appealing than anything else about music, is melody. I do like certain rock, rap (very selectively), euro, etc, but EDM is just a much more undefined and raw form of music, as it's driven by melodies and rhythms, thus naturally I just have a strong attraction to it.
2) Good question, I don't now, I just like what I like. There isn't actually one form of EDM that I like more than any other, xcept maybe psychadelic trance, but that's cuz it's prolly one of the first forms of EDM that I heard. Anything that is melody and rhythm driven, thus psy, house, etc. |

1. I've been listening to EDM music fo awhile now, dating back to my old Euro/Freestyle days. I'll admit it I use to love that and party at Plastique/Palazzo but I was young and didn't know better but in any case I'm sure glad I preferred that then going to Money and and listening to hip hop. I don't know why but I really dislike that genre, half the songs are about money, girls, money + girls etc. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that hip hop has a lot of negative energy about it, usually it's about somebody explaining why they lived a hard life, why this why that, I prefer the peacfulness that EDM brings.
2. I LOOOOVE house music as many of you can tell. Just something about house that will always be my passion. i listen to House music 24/7 all day everyday from when I'm on the bus/subway at 7am with my discman blaring and people staring to late at night when i'm falling asleep. House music runs through my blood and is the lifeforce of what I am today. I think the reason why I love the sound of house so much more is that it is soo damn hard, and especially the way a song is put together. When I listen to a song I break down the song into bits and pieces and try to understand how that part fits in the song and it helps develop the overall song. I remember talking to somebody one day why they loved Trance music and they told me that it's because Trance music takes you on a journey. It starts slow from the beginniing to develop the story and slowly progresses further and further till you've reach your destination. But for House music I think it picks you up and forces you to move. You feel those beats coursing through your veins and you just gotta get up and dance. |

1. I love EDM b/c I think it can convey so many emotions. There's songs that are so touching, and then ones that just pump you up and make you want to dance.
2. I like many types of EDM, but mostly trance, and I think that's b/c a lot of it is so driving. It really gets me going.
