My coworker Anne just sent me this email. They're looking to hire people for background stuff for a reality TV show on MTV - which would be an awesome credit to have on your resume.
Here's the info:
"Hey all,
My friend James is art directing MTVs newest reality installment he needs to hire crew. Please forward this to anyone in NYC who would be interested.
He needs:
2 P.A.'s : two months of work : starting approx. 6.13.05
1 art dept. coordinator : two months of work: starting approx. 6.13.05
1 carp. : approx. a week to a 1.5 weeks of work :starts 6.13.05
3 painters : one week of work: starts 6.13.05
all salaries are negotiable thru production dept. and
looking to interview with the production designer and
myself this thursday or friday. looking for quick,
hard working, entertainment professionals. this is not
a union show, not that it should matter at all.

This is a summer job, actually... you don't have to be done with school (unless you are doing a summer session). You should go for it if you are free for the next 2 months.
I immediately thought of Taso and Jayme when I saw this... I think you guys should do it... being a production assistant for a show on MTV is a really awesome credit to have on your resume.

Rachel, thank you so much for the possible opportunity, however I'm going to pass with the reality that I already have a job that takes up the overwhleming majority of my week. Again, thank you very much for being so thoughtful, but it's not in the cards for me right now. Sorry :(... |
