All depends on our group and whos in it; and our national team is much better than the Saudi 2002 team. |

Iran has certainly improved with few players to watch out for.
Still, not very experienced in WC stage and if they get grouped with US again... well, it'll get interesting. :)
On other note South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia also qualified. I don't expect any Asian teams to go past round of 16s.
South Korea is missing that strong defensive presence at back with retirement of Hong Myung Bo, but with return of striker Lee Dong Gook who is scoring, adds a bit of much needed depth up front. Though if Cha Doo Ri, son of former Bayern man Cha Bum Kun pans out well, he adds a Robben like flare and skill up front.
Japan, like Portugal needs a solid striker. I mean, they have good playmakers with Nakamura, Ono and Nakata, but no striker to finish, so that's the reason why they won't go far.
Saudi Arabia is still minnows despite a strong qualifier campaign. I still haven't figured out what style they're playing, except whatever they do doesn't look as polished as other Asian qualifiers. |

| I think that Iran and Japan was going to be qualified after their battle in Teheran. Iran won, But they're both in the WC 2006. |

| congradulations, well u never know what happends, remember in 98, croatia got 3rd place, 2002 it was turkey, throughtout the history of world cup or european cups there has been a Balkan team in the top 4, there will be a suprise team in 06 also. my favorite national team after albania is Holland, been a fan for so many years, i love the way they play and Van Basten is one of my favorite players of all time. but the farthest we have gone these 4 past championships has been 3rd or 4th place, my predictions in the finals..is holland vs some other team, i bealive this is the year for holland |
