how is this related to DJing? This was better suited for the COR forum.

go to download.com

search for mp3 splitter

download mp3 splitter and joiner.

are you trying to take a live set and split it up so you can have the set track by track?

if so, even if you use a splitting program, and then burn it with a 0 second pause in between songs, you will still get a hick-up.

you need to make a cue file.

im looking for the exact opposite. i want a program to join to mp3's together but i can only find free splitters not joiners.

anyone know of any good free mp3 joiners?

(btw: in answer to ur question i use mp3 direct cut to split mp3's)

You can use mp3DirectCut to join as well. The trick is to use the "Append" function in the "File" menu. Open your "second" mp3 in mp3DirectCut and then select "File", and "Append all/selection to". When the dialog box appears, select the "first" mp3 file you want to join and it will add the "second" mp3 to the end of the "first" mp3. This will permanently change your "first" mp3 file however, so you should make sure it's a copy. Now your "first" mp3 file becomes "first"+"second" mp3, but the name is still "first" mp3. Lather, rinse, repeat until you're done. You should end up with "first"+"second"+...+"last" mp3 with the filename "first" mp3. That's my limited experience with JOINING mp3s.
