not a remix, but taking tracks far beyond the speed of the techniques.maybe adding a bigger baseline or adding a buildup where there wasnt one before. more like an "edit". julian poker is a fine example of this. love his stuff but hes way to slow for me. some songs dont build as well such as Julian Poker-"1917" i knew the song could work for me but the speed of the techs was to slow for it. so i bought it and ripped it and pushed the the track as far as i thought it could go. this track wound up being my favorite track of 2004.the only time a house track has ever become a top favorite for me.
