Please help support this cause that is dear to my heart.
Dance4Relief is a charity organization that I have been a part of for a few years. It is a cause that I strongly believe in because it incorporates two of the things I love most: music and kindness. For the past few years, Dance4Relief has thrown several successful events in the Atlanta area. At each event we combined a typical night out on the town with a focus of raising awareness and funds to support many causes around the world.
On December 29th, 2006, Dance4Relief and Surface team up for one heck of a bash before the New Year at Fever. We feel that, as a community that loves its music, we should pay a little respect to people who cannot always share in the same love. So as a result, Dance4Relief will be taking donations all night long to go towards the Atlanta School for the Deaf .
This event is FREE for all to attend, all you have to do is reply with your full name and whoever else you want to bring (bring as many people as you would like). Donations will be accepted all night long and every penny will go towards our charity. Please email me with any questions you might have, and PLEASE forward this onto others that may be interested.
Thank you all,
Chris Meadows |

JOHN DIGWEED
(bedrock, UK)
If you're not an avid follower of dance music but are tuned into popular culture at all you've likely experienced music touched by the hands of John Digweed. Originally hailing from England but having clearly arrived on the global scene over a decade ago John has long since cemented his name in the pages of dance music history. His list of achievements is groundbreaking to say the least. Highlights of which would be the first proper dj mix compilation ("Renaissance", done with Sasha), being the first British dj to hold a residency at what was then the world's most well known club in NYC (Twilo, also with Sasha) as well as having remixed music by Danny Tenaglia, Underworld, Quincy Jones and New Order. John Digweed is a DJ's DJ. The beauty of what he does lies in just how different he really is from his contemporaries.. John Digweed has become the people's choice while maintaining his longstanding presence in underground dance culture. His popularity as both a dj and a person seems to have no limits, but his efforts transcend dj'ing alone, he is as much a producer and promoter.

MSTRKRFT
(last gang records, Toronto)
There’s a punk disco party going in, and MSTRKRFT are ready to man the decks. JFK and ALP are here to up the ante as rock’s merger with electro continues to incite, excite, and rumble its way into dance charts the world over. They’ve got mad skills, fresh sounds, and they’ve developed a legion of loyal fans in less than a year. MSTRKRFT (pronounced ‘Master craft’) is the project of Toronto musician Jesse F. Keeler and studio wizard Al-P, two music-loving dudes who’ve been itching to make people dance as hard as they’ve made them rock. The pair has been collaborating, on and off, since 1998, when Al recorded Jesse’s punk rock band Black Cat #13. Though they went separate routes – Jesse taking a brief break from music, and Al moving to New York where he worked at studios like Sound on Sound and Chung King recording artists as diverse as Jay-Z, Wyclef Jean, and David Clayton Thomas – the friends remained in contact, trading tapes of their individual, unreleased forays into dance music. Now, with the release of their diverse debut artist album The Looks, and its funkin’ fantastic, vocoder-heavy lead party jam “Easy Love,” MSTRKRFT prove that they can make and mix rock and dance music with equal abandon and precision.

featuring
ARMIN VAN BUUREN
armada, www.arminvanbuuren.com)
Armin van Buuren is a happy man, and with good reason. Holding firm at Number 2 in the prestigious public-voted DJ Top 100, he’s making the transition from talented young upstart to leading light in the echelons of trance – and beyond. 2005 has brought two new significant awards (Best Radio Show, and Best Compilation for A State of Trance 2004 at the Miami Winter Music Conference Awards), and a stunning new artist album, Shivers, showcasing his debut as a songwriter. Affronted by the cheesy tag that dogged it for a brief time real trance has continued to grow unabated, and the WMC awards reflect Armin’s success in producing and playing quality tunes that both excite existing fans and bring new people to the scene. Armin's Blue Fear, a Sasha and Digweed staple, previewed his signature style: divine layering of sounds, lush chords and a continuous driving beat with that intangible added extra, the unique essence that sets quality tunes apart when you hear them in a set. His subsequent productions and remixes (too numerous to list here – chuck him into a google search if you’ve got a day to read the resulting titles…), include Communication, Sound Of Goodbye, Burned With Desire, Touch Me, Free, Wamdue Project’s King Of My Castle, Solid Sessions’ Janeiro, and Solar Stone’s 7 Cities, as well as high profile collaborations with his peers. Please welcome Armin back to atlanta for another wicked night of music!

Because it is at a different venue and state law says it has to be. Eleven50 has a completely different license then most clubs in Atlanta. |
