It just seems to me like if I sued someone like my department chair and you read about it, you might make a judgement without actually knowing what transpired between the department chair and I? You might think my department chair is the finest man in the world and you know his wife and his kids la la la but you really don't know what happened between he and I, right? |

My point was that for a police who supposedly graduated Police Academy and was part of one of the best precincts in the state she seemed extremely unaware of the State laws in HER WRITTEN STATEMENT.
She expressed views inconsistent with my knowledge of the police chief whom I have met and dealt with because I was thinking about joining the local IPD.
She is suing 2.5 million dollars which is excessive in my opinion, even if what she poorly stated was true.
Seems like a bogus case, and even if it isnt the occurences she mentioned in no way validate 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS.
Thats my point. Quit taking everything I say as some headed attempt to put people down. Im getting sick of it. Try thinking critically. |

The judge wouldnt know either. This is obviously based on all of the information I have at my disposal. It going to court doesnt mean a whole lot because in washington any sexual harassment cases or domestic violence cases are MANDATORY for the state to review.
I was just making a semi-humorous semi-educated rant, and the silly little people who always are waiting at my heels for little openings bit at my ing ankles once again.
Its not cute or funny any more and it just makes you looking ignorant when you have WAY less information than I do on the subject.
Keep on going though people! Im sure you are much more in touch with the local politics than I am. |

we have a radio station here that has this segment on the show where they take law suits and ask the listeners what they think the verdict should be. people are always blown away by the monetary amounts these people get. i agree that they are usually excessive, but then i think...these are billion dollar companies and in your case, a city...these settlements are meant to be a deterent and punishment for behavior and i guess i always see it as that...its not a reward to the person, its a punishment to the large company. i mean of course a 1,000 bucks or something is going to mean nothing to a large corporatins or city...so then where would the punishment be? it would encourage no change in policy or actions... |

sexism isnt necessarily ignorant. There are differences between the sexes. I will argue that till I die. Should they be treated fairly with equal opportunity? Yes.

agreed. Thats why it bothered me. Its taking advantage of a ty system instead of making it community case because in the end thats who its affecting. |
