erm...i think it was the more harder tunes that i liked first so she mite like things by mauro picotto ...see how she likes Taub by megamind and erm...maybe some Scot Project tunes 'overdrive' and 'future is now' these are some of my faves so im thinkin she mite have the same likes as me...i dunno just see what she likes...i prefer the harder trance..i also like upliftin with vocals, silence and innocente by delirium were some of the first i liked..if u show her how many different sounds of 'trance' there is then she`ll find one and probabaly work from there...but the key for me was going to gatecrasher its an amazing club :)(thats not a plug)

that is BS....i was way into rock before i liked trance...all it toook for me was my friend playing it to me repeatedly.
my advice: dont so much try to convert her as much as just get her to like trance TOO...i am a tranceaddict yet i still love rock/punk. |

how bout leave her...as she gets use too you she'll get use to your music and have an appreciation for both...you cant force ppl to like anything...and theres nuthing wrong with Guns N'Roses..
actually theres nuthing wrong with rock either....i went to a rock club on friday night and had the time of my life....the women were beautiful too,....i had a hype time...107 roxx |

| In response to the question on how to convert your girl...all I gotta say is take her to a party and show her what it's all about. I have always listened to rock music and all sorts of music, I've been an avid guitar player for years! I had a buddy who was really into trance and finally convinced me to check out tiesto when he came to Toronto...I was changed for life;) I never really liked or appreciated the music or the scene till I checked it out for myself and went to a party..it's just not the same listening to beats and noises on someones stereo. Going to a party and realizing that trance is so captivating, the crowd and the vibe, everything, is mind blowing. Since then I've been collecting trance music, I went to see Armin at the docks (state 01) and now I'm going to see judge jules on the 5th of dec and I'm totally stoked. Maybe this is my musician side speaking but, I've been to many rock concerts but never left a show feeling as if I'd truly had the time of my life...with or without drugs:)...and felt totally enthralled by the music. It is one scene which I can say..despite the rantings I read about candy ravers and gino's...where cool ass people can dance, chill, and party without the pretenses that are at clubs and even rock concerts:cool: |

Dunno if anyone has suggested this, there are 3 pages in this thread and I'm not gonna read them all ;p
But my suggestion, since I *LOVE* rock music, is find trance that has electric guitars, bass, and real drum samples (ones that don't sound like they came from a computer).
Remember trance is a pretty big genre...you've got trancecore, you've got epic, you've got progressive, and you've got goa as well. But wait, these are all pretty fast, maybe a bit too happy for her, eh?
Why not try some good hard psy? Here ya go, in this order for rockishness (hehe):
Infected Mushroom
Space Cat
Growling Mad Scientists (aka GMS)
Then, once you've got her liking those, ease up a little with some more trancey-sounding psy such as:
Hallucinogen
Psychotrance
Juno Reactor
by the way, I am a HUGE psy fan, and I have 13 full albums by all the above artists in mp3 so if you want them icq-> 219783 or pm me *smile*
And don't forget, you can't force someone to like something...but it does grow on you eventually...and if it doesn't, well tolerance and acceptance of differences is an important part of a relationship. My bf is a dj and christ, I really don't like some of the stuff he plays, but it's his passion and I'm not going to stop him...and after living with him now for 3 months he's starting to wear me down. I find myself saying "I like this track" about 3 times as often as I did when I first moved in haha

so you are allowed to think her music is complete , but she isnt allowed to think the same about your music...seesh. dont worry about it so much. alt im confused about how someone listens to westlife and korn...thats strange. late/ |
