okay so my Technics just came in the mail not but like 20 minutes ago... and i have them hooked up, but when im trying to play a record only a faint hint of the sound plays and its only on one side as well
and with the other turntable nothing comes out at all :whip:

is it that i should replace the tone arm or the RCA cables, im sooo lost :conf:
djsnazzy

i got my new mk5g a few weeks ago and one of the leads is dodgy goes mono everyso often
Cosmic Realm

had the same issue with one of my m3d's.... try this. unscrew the headshell and lick the 4 pt connector piece on the headshell... screw it back on and test... it worked for me and i never had the problem again.

god thats a pain in the ass. emm cant think of anything now . you try the ground wires?
Cosmic Realm
okay so i unpluged one of the ground wire, and i got feed back when it wasnt pluged in but the phono cables were, but with table 2 i get nothing... and thats the table that isnt making any noice at all...

What kind of needles do you use? Because there are a lot of problems with techs together with Concorde shells... May be taht's is the problem. Also you can look after the weight you've put on the tone arm, and check the height as well.

i think you misunderstood... dont take the cart out of the head shell... just unscrew the headshell from the tone arm... there should be 4 little connection points... just wet them and screw it back in... takes 25 seconds. worked on mine... i got the advice from others on the board.
CosmoKid
are they US decks? is the voltage setting correct? if you take off the platter, there is a voltage switch underneath. make sure it is set to what it should be for your area.

mmmkay so i jiggled the RCA cables on one of the tables, and it worked... well the right side works not the left... so i think i need to replace the RCA cables and see if that helps

taking it by a shop tomarrow though just to make sure :D
