haha, he did look like he spent more time on his gravity defying hair than his album. but in all seriousness emotional technology was a great album, if not musically, from a producer's standpoint. getting in the guiness book of records for the most edits on a single track is pretty impressive. |

This sounds great and all, but I don't see anything official that this event is happening...i've checked club underground, 4 the Nod, and BT's website.
Any idea who is supposedly promoting this?? |

awesomeness.... make sure you post the right date. I'd like to go. BT is pretty sweet... moreso when he plays with a band.
malon-e, there's no need to defend.... Bt's work speaks for itself. If everyone only knew the science that goes behind this guys work....
If all the Bt-haters only knew about foldover frequencies, quantizing to unreal note values, sound synthesis... |
If only Andy Page had gotten proper credit for alot of the work he did on Movement in still life..but anyways... if it isn't a laptop symphony i will probably go tothis show |

| well it looks as though BT is not coming, not this month anyway. There is nothing about him rescheduling a date yet. |

oh jeez... it's alot of hype man. he makes tunes. that's about it. sometimes, they're good tunes. occasionally great perhaps. but just because he makes it sound in interviews like he has invented, well, EVERYTHING... that works well as a maketing tool, but that's all it is. heckuva a talented guy, BT. i like him a lot and he has influenced me tons in the past. but please, don't believe the hype... he doesnt do anything in the studio that a hundred guys and girls i know don't do everyday.
and for the record i am actually repulsed that someone would keep track of the number of edits they do in a song for a guiness book placement. just plain silly. i'd rather see tiesto jump out of an invisible gold-plated wonderwoman jet in a magician suit into the middle of a stage at disneyland and sit in on a jam with the country bears. it's a little more honest, you know?
:stongue:
love and peace!

scamsel, you got me on a technicality. :)
but i think my point is valid... and don't get it wrong, i got plenty o' BT love flowin'... i just hate hearing how everything he does is so far into the 24th century and he invented everything we love about dance music back in the 90's... the end result is all that matters, and he makes some amazing end results with all that technology and all that help. but so do guys like nathan fake using a PIII 800mhz computer. when you say BT had the most edits in a song ever, i say... "yeah, but how does it sound?" don't care too much how he did it...

*LMAO @ Noel's post*
I hear ya. The world book of records thing is seriously over the top. What did he do --- open up protools and hit apple+z until there was nothing left in his session. Ya, he gets no points for that one. But, in all fairness -- gotta give credit where credit is due. He does do a lot of different things that are out there.... maybe my post came off too serious.. but i hear ya man.
