asking for a friend. he's on the 300-350US budget, what's his best move on a speaker/monitor? he wants one unit, and wants it to be active. i told him a good active speaker would run him more than that, but he wanted me to check what his options were.

| i had the alesis for a month and hated them. maybe they'd be okay in a very small room. i know monitors are nearfields but they were very light on the power. |
