[review] Behrouz @ Canal Room 06.09.05

oh you poor, poor souls. you all missed such a fabulous night!!
Brian and I got to Canal room at 12:45 am, just minutes before Behrouz took over the wheels of steel. there was a decent crowd present, but it wasn't too packed to dance. i had all the room i needed just to kick it.
and kick it we did! behrouz threw down an extremely danceable house set. not as sexy as his set at cielo but still smooth and groovy. i saw lots of familiar faces from the scene and had a wonderful time! my brother was present along with dani and the usual suspects.
Sveta, we missed you! we shall have to hook up for the next event. meanwhile, i danced my heart out. Erin & Liz showed up around three and made the night complete. lovely to see you girls!
Joel, my roomie, we rocked it out. Special thanks to Behrouz for a killer set and ESPECIALLY for playing my track within seconds of requesting it!! If any of you have heard the Behrouz essential mix from 7-11-04, you will remember the first track that is called "together" by Tricky Moreira [sp??]. It's a sweet track and I've never heard it out. Behrouz mixed it in right at the end and left me with such a feeling of contentment. thank you so much, you are a DJ who deserves absolute respect.
Also saw Ivano Bellini, ExcelonGT [sp?], some old school arc heads and the hardcore TAs like Fran [avikonen] and newbies like Lisa [tiger2]. i can't forget to mention Brian again, either. though hesitant at first, you made the trek to the city and partied until the end. it wouldn't have been a party without you, babe - thanks for coming out, always a good time. you never fail to make the sun shine at night! :) 
Behrouz always leaves a footprint in my memory. can't wait until the next time!

p.s.
it's 7:15 and i am at work. not a wink of sleep and nothing to wake me up. not even coffee, since i don't drink it. i had to try so hard not to pass out during my hour-long commute. somehow, i made it.
i wouldn't do this for just any DJ. working on no sleep is a killer, but Behrouz was worth it. unfortunately mr. morillo will not be seeing me at my best. i have a feeling that by saturday afternoon i will be dead. :p |

Awesome night out!!! Behrouz was deff worth going out on a Thursday night. My favorite track of the night was the on with the male vocals "ecstacy" (I believe he played it @ Nikki Beach also.) Great seeing the everybody out last night.....Brianna, Erin, Liz, Dani, Fran, Mitch, Joel, and ExcelonGT (forget your name)
Thanks for a wonderful night Brianna....I hope you make it through work in one piece babe....we got a long night ahead of us!!!:eek:

my party report: left office at 2.30 am. car came to pick me up and i had two options - either head to my apt or to Canal room....OMG. How wrong i was when i saw my comfy bed in my dreams. I'm a loser. I missed a great night.:( |

I had such a good time last night… I had to drop my friend off at his car in flatiron, and after that the tiredness set in… I wish I would have came back tho!!! Behrouz is the ing man. But I hope next time he plays at Cielo again. God I love that club. *orgasm*
Oh my god I totally forgot that when we left the club, we saw this guy laying on the ground on his stomach BLEEDING like crazy from his head—I literally never saw that much blood in my life.. I was a lil skeeved but the dude I was with was a doctor and asked him where the bleeding was coming from and tried to help him- there were 2-3 bouncers surrounding him and from what I gathered, he just got punched in the mouth really hard… poor guy... he kind of look liked dj Buddha actually.. I hope he’s ok!!
Sigh, another day at work where I don’t feel like doing anything.. good thing most of the people are in montreal for formula 1 so it’s quiet anyway…
oh and bree, we have a rain date for a few smooches!! :tongue2 :toothless |
