And i forgot how common it is for them to stop the music and just talk about current events for 15 mins. This guy just covered everything from micheal jackson to bolivia to international soccer to the European constitutional crisis. Now they just played sean paul and junkie xl afterwards LOL. Imagine z103 stopping every once in a while to talk about current events? Theyd be off the air within a day.
one thing i miss about living down there is substance in every day life. |

Worst. Post. Ever.
If you're going to try and burn someone, the least you can do is put in some effort. Take a few language classes, brush up on that little thing the rest of us like to call grammer...then come back with some heat.
blonde_trucker you sound like a retard, so imma help you out.
1) You're = You are
2) your Audio pronunciation of "your" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (yr, yôr, yr; yr when unstressed)
adj. The possessive form of you.
1. Used as a modifier before a noun: your boots; your accomplishments.
2. A person's; one's: The light switch is on your right.
3. Informal. Used with little or no sense of possession to indicate a type familiar to the listener: your basic three-story frame house.
3) has anyone ever told you.
4) like gooooooood. tsk tsk :whip:
i think what you meant to say was, "like Godddddddd..."
Reflect, Reconsider and Respect. Think about it kid. ;) |

Don't they have specific stations here in Toronto that are dedicated only to bringing you news ? If so, then why the need for a music station to also have 15 minute news updates ? I think people prefere dedicated stations. If you want to listen to easy rock, the most obnoxious thing that can happen is someone interrupts the session with a news report of how someone died in a fire. Yes, it's news...but you don't really want to hear it while you're on your way to work.
I don't think it's a question of stations in Toronto not having substance, I think it's more a programming issue and the idea that more specific programming is what listeners prefere over a broad range of topics. Plus you have other forms of media which people use to get the news like TV, newspapers, etc...whereas in some countries Radio news is predominant. |

actually no... people actually listen to and care about these things even when they are 20 years old. They had kids calling in talking about the bolivian situation. They had to be in their late teens. they basically play 45 mins of music and 15 mins of current issues. If they did it Z103 style people there would actually get bored. They dont present it as news. Its more like a very informal talk show. Oh and what do you think 19 year olds in those countries talk about? It certainly isnt who tom cruise is ing thats for sure. |
