Geez!
I'v been producing for about a year or 2, and was quite proud of myself dealing out demo's to friends and all that. But only the last week have I been exploring sites like this, and especialy www.soundclick.com . And I found out their are literaly millions of guys like you and me who produce. Half of which produce better music than I do. Now I feel really small and I'm hoping maybe some of you guys could give me some moral support... |

Nhibberd,
But in the end YOU are unique. Be passionate about what you do and be true to yourself. That is what will set you apart from everybody else.
Kop op mannetje, gewoon lekker muziek maken! |

Kinda makes you sit back and feel like you're nothing doesnt it.
Well...if it helps.... 99% of us will never make anything that gets any kind of publicity or attention.
So. You need to ask yourself whether you want to keep at it and realize that the only REAL reason to bother is because you love it and producing music is your passion in life.
Otherwise its pointless. TOTALLY FUTILE.
  ;) |

This is because everything becomes more and more available for everybody. You just download a sequencer, with a load of vst's and you're set.
Practically everyone's a producer nowadays so it seems; it's just overflooded really :( |

I can't stop listening to music, so instead I just listen to other genres. Usually gets the creative juices flowing. :) |

Well, i'm 25 now. And only started producing seriously about 3 months ago. I spend about 30 hours a week on it at the monent. And I notice this is really starting to pay off. I'm at least past the phase..."This could be played in a club"
But a short while ago I met a guy of 18 years old who made a lot better than me! Explaining what I could improve on and all that. That made me feel ty. But I did what he said and it really did help. I'm going to be posting links on this site soon where people can listen to my music.

I've noticed that when it comes to EDM fans, a large number are "DJS" and about half the amount of "DJs" are producers or "dj/producers".
Anywhoo. I don't consider myself a producer, even if I spend a lot of time doing it. |
