recording above 128 kbps with audacity?

| Is it possible to export an mp3 in audacity with higher quality than 128 kbps? If so, please share your wisdom. :o If not, are there any other free programs that let you export an mp3 with higher quality? |

| there are countless ones... I use cool edit. or u could even use Nero audio editor. |

google LAME .. and you can find a gui for it aswell.. the best! :)

| I record in audacity, normalize, export as wave, and convert to mp3 with razor LAME. |
