Sasha Review - June 9 - Atlanta

| I have not seen a review thread for Sasha yet so I thought I would start one. I guess everyone is still too hung over from the show to make one themselves. For me the show was just alright. The place was PACKED, which is good because it was a hype crowd but bad because half the show I felt like I was in a tin can. (Bigger crowd then PVD) I HATE it when the booth is set up high like that. For some reason it just annoys me. The set was good, typical Sasha but nothing new. I felt like it kind of had a bit of everything tribal beats, melodic, and good old Sasha trance. So in conclusion, he was worth seeing because it was the first tile I had seen him live. Would I go again? Not so sure about that one. I think PVD and G&D were better. Just my opinion. Sorry I can not offer a track list. |

hahaha such great times. to be honest sasha's set didn't go anywhere and it kinda left me hanging. steve porter was ing awesome. thanks devin and damien for a wonderful night once again and look for my pictures to be up after the weekend...sunday is upload day :) till then more party time.
gavin leaves for Germany in the morning :( |

Ya, Steve Porter rocked for the night!!! I was more excited after his set the I was after Sasha's. I would never call the #3 DJ in the world a disappointment but I had been warned that he is never as good live as you expect. I guess that holds true. |

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. The first 30 mins of Sasha's set were awesome, the last 2.5 hours were so so. I kept thinking towards the end that he's take us all out with some sick tracks, but no. Sasha didn't seem too into it either.
Anyway, I'm glad i got to the club at 11 so i could hear Porter's last hour. ing awesome. Liquified, i'd go to Steve Porter as a headliner at eleven50 ;)

exellent party.. a bit crowded.. but what to expect.
the music was good but i wasnt that impressed and the bass sounded not so good

Seconded. The track right before it, too.
We got there late, walked in just before Sasha went on. Good set, very solid, but lacking in the middle. After a pretty strong start, it just didn't go anywhere until the last 45 minutes or so. And it did feel like he left the crowd hanging a bit. And yeah, I think Ableton still leaves a bit to be desired in terms of sound quality, especially the mids and highs. But it wasn't too shabby.
