Hi guys,
My records have been getting kinda dusty and i saw a post by Nem saying you could use lighterfluid to clean the records up...
So is ZIPPO lighter fluid good?
Cosmic Realm
to be honest, im sure it does... but myself im not to sure if i want to be puring lighter fluid on my records, they are a little more vauble then that... i would leave them busty before i try
but just go out and buy some Gruv Glide... sure it may coast a bit, but hey its worth it because you know you wont ruin your records
Desty Nova
what you need is some gruv glide

I use these:

Designe for car windows, amonia free (so they dont damage window tinting film) and impregnated into soft cotton cloth + disposble.

Works a treat and isnt static so you can just put it on 45 +8% and hold the cloth to the disc.

the problem is i live in egypt i know my records are worth alot more more then lighterfluid but groove glide doesn't get sent to egypt

In that case use washing up liquid detergent and warm water. It has better grease removing agents than petrol and isnt flamable.

if nem says it works, i'm sure it does. don't DUMP the fluid on the record, just a little bit on a cloth.

i just use a destilled water and my hairdrier when not available i just lick them clean with my tounge. no just use destilled water and a damp cloth without any chemicals.
