you guys are s, sandstorm in mayday 2000 sounded ing sick, the way he mixed the song was dope. you guys all liked that song at one time, and you guys are ALL TREAND FOLLOWERS!!!
just because someone says something sucks, one person follows the trend and so does many others. I use to be like that, people say oakenfold sucks, blah blah blah, i use to tell everyone that he sucks, but the truth is that hes really good. just because you dont like his style doesn't mean you gotta hate. I can go on and on with this topic, but, the point of this post is that most of you ******s on this board are TREND FOLLOWERS and you know it |

| You can like Sandstorm all you want but as for me, i NEVER liked it. That track was growing on people until finally they started playing it every hour on the radio here in the states. Pvd stopped playing it as soon as he started. Is that a mark of a great tune? Its not Paul van Dyk's style and thats the reason why i'd have to say it didnt go with his sets. |

i never said oakenfold sucked, just anyone who spins ppk out now.. and gets it recorded....
and actually, yes, his essential mix was pretty disappointing.
those are SUPPOSED to be ground-breaking mixes, and he gives us iio and resurrection...

MAN that set was banging. The first 30 min blew my mind. Pegasus -> Truth -> Pumped Up -> Betablocker. By the way anyone know the name of the first track from that set? Youre right though Sandstorm wrecked it .

that was my FAVORITE essential mix of all time, i listened to it 24/7 for a year and a half.. haha. the first half (whatever's on a cd) is still my favorite pvd mix ever... amazing first 8 tracks or so
that first track was never released, its simply a dub version (instrumental) of
the conductor & the cowboy - feeling this way (solar stone mix)
he starts it at the beginning of the breakdown.

anyways, oakenfold was used as an example, there are other examples out there, for instance dj tiesto (flight 643). my opinion is that it sucks cock, even though it is tiesto, but some of you say its sick and dope because its tiesto. several weeks ago, someone posted, i think tiesto being the next oakenfold or some like that? and all of a sudden people started saying that and all that , please....
learn to appreciate music, not follow what others like and others say about music. just because someone says a dj sucks, doesn't mean you have to change what you like and like what they like. i know its lke taht for some of you on this board.

tiesto's been playing cj bolland.. (magik 7)... he's been playing flesh, STILL... (wow!!!)

was played 3 times on the essential mix in 1999 by paul oakenfold
!!! (sasha played it several times too)
