prosecution just had a terrible case. part of it was a personal vendetta of i think the district attorney out there; he's the guy that lost the case in the 90s to jackson. if you can't get convince the jury beyond a reasonable doubt in a case, there's no way a guilty verdict is being returned. having sat on a jury before (in a murder case, no less), it takes a LOT to be convinced that the accused is guilty of something. mix in a shaky case, then the prosecution is doomed.

it doesn't mean he's not guilty... it means there wasn't enough evidence to convict him :disbelief
