Hoookay, so I'm going to a wedding on Sunday, right? I've decided to wear my suit. Now, I know there are several ways to wear a suit.
Suit+Tie
Suit, No tie, unbuttoned
So on and so forth
I was just wondering, what are some other ways to wear a suit? |

| You wear a suit and tie to a wedding. Don't try to look stylish or pretty by underdressing or doing a pseudo suit combination. Just get a good suit and you'll look fine. |

Agree. Nothing looks worse, in my opinion, than a t-shirt under a suit jacket. |

I'd say that's your best bet. Weddings scream tradition.
Suit and tie is the way to go, but the real question is now, what shirt and tie will go best with your suit?? :eyespop: |

Suit and tie.
...and if by the progression of the night there is alot of dancing involved, you are allowed to take the tie off and unbutton the collar +1. Oh and for the love of god, do not wear an undershirt. |

Ok well at a wedding I would only advise one way, wear a dress shirt with a tie. First, a wedding isn't about you standing out making a fashion statement, regardless of how good you may look. As trendy as you may be with some kind of pseudo suit combination, weddings involve several generations of people (parents, grandparents, etc.) who may view your attire as crap, not to mention the fact that the bride/groom may personally view your attire as crap or get that impression from older family members if you aren't appropriately dresssed. The last thing they probably want to deal with is anything exorbitantly out of the ordinary in a wedding.
Even assuming you are a good dresser, have been to lots of weddings, and know what is and isn't appropriate (which I'm beginning to doubt based upon you posing the question to begin with), why take the chance? I've been to a ton of weddings and only the extreme minority forego a suit and tie. Most who do so look like poorly dressed idiots and the few that actually look nice still stand out like semi-morons because everyone else is wearing a suit and tie. It's much safer and simpler to get a good, fashionable suit, shirt, and tie combination. I ing hate convention, but it's not my wedding. |
