Best delivery method for turntables

| I recently bought a technics turntable form ebay and its gonna cost $100 to get it delivered to me through pack and send!! does anyone know a cheaper way to get it to me without risking the turntable? how sturdy are these babies when delivering them? |

speaking of sturdy -
iv heard stories about technics been droped and even rolled down a staircase yet they still work perfectly when u plug them back in...
so you probably wont have a problem ;) |

| I take it that price is for a courier? Tell them to send it via Greyhound (yeah..the buses), they'll gladly take it and considerably less than most couriers. I had a JP8000 delivered from Sydney to Cairns for $40. |
