Just listen to all the individual parts of the loop, and deconstruct it in your head.
first start with the chunky snares... put those down in your program(whatever, reason, flp, logic audio, cubase)
then mentally "subtract" them from the original loop.
keep going thru the loop and picking out/translating little bits (like the hihats and the bass) until there arent any more left.
Its difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it you can reproduce almost any drum loop |

In the middle there is a drum break
Take a 4 beat loop of that and cut it in 8 equal pieces. Then if you mess around with the order in which you play the pieces you get a new breakbeat.
(this is the one you hear in a lot of gabber-records)
[edit] I listened to the sample, this is another kind of breakbeat than the one above. You should be able to make this kind of breaks yourself easily. Prolly an industrial-kit or something. [/edit] |
