21+, beautiful room, sunken dancefloor, superior sound, strong [expensive] drinks, and an outdoor smoking garden. it's the best small boite in the city for dance music. Voted Best Club by URB Magazine & the Club World Awards.
The talent that comes through there is the very best including Derrick Carter (last night!), Josh Wink, Sasha & John Digweed, Francois K, Danny Tenaglia, James Holden, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells etc. I'm surprised any bonafide NYC clubber hasn't been there (with the exception of the < 21 club)
The door can be selective on ocassion, after all it is the meat packing district but we'll have somebody out front as well as the availability of advance tickets for admission. Buy tix! This event may very well sell out - capacity is 320.

Here's a better answer, which I posted from my experience of the Monday night Deep Space party last year; obviously the crowd is more stupid because it's become so popular, but it shouldn't deter you from this review and going to the club in the first place:

Cielo is very small. It's a perfect square: as long as half of Seho and just as wide as Seho's length. There are lights along the walls, and at peak times of the night, the entire club lights up. The dancefloor is centered and the Function One sound system is positioned so that the majority of sound is focused on the dancefloor and the outer part is low enough to have a conversation with one of the many amazing looking women.
The party itself is controlled by Francios Kevorkian. And this ain't no teenage bull TA "I have a bigger dick than you because I can recite every track played the entire night" type tracklisting. The party is called Deep Sace and the music is focused on the dub part of music, without any prejudice towards genre. In other words, he'll mix perfectly from reggae to house to hip hop back to reggae to house to hard techno...at any time in any part of the night.
And the women!! My goodness the women!! Adults, my friends. Adults. There aren't any random bull bi-curious chicks who hook up with other girls only while totaly drunk. No, they're either straight or totally bisexual and in touch with their own femininity. God, man. I love women. And they all seem to have really sexy foreign accents.
So for a good, quality night for only $10, Deep Space Mondays @ Cielo with Francios K is the way to go. God I love this city...It's so damned good to be back..
