A little experiment for everybody with writers' block/lack of inspiration

I was thinking...since I don't have anything installed in this PC because I built it for a friend, I am going to install only Cubase, my M-Audio Ozone and just one VST instrument...which is probably going to be V-Station or Pro-53. I will use only one hardware synth also...either AN1x or Nord Lead 2. Those will only be my tools...no VST/DX effect plugins except the ones built in Cubase...and I am just going to do something....I am going to start pressing keys and come up with at least a little melody or something. Then I will add a rhythm and leave it like that. Next time I have time to get on the PC, I will keep going. You guys should try that...start fresh. Stay away from the bunch of plugins so you don't get overwhelmed. Stick with a simple setup and have a go at it. I would be glad to hear some progress here. I will post my stuff once I come up with it. Let's go guys...get motivated. Let's see what we can do with minimal equipment and the desire to start fresh. :)

Cool, cant wait to hear it Rico

I'm in a similar position. I'm about to learn two new pieces of gear... Live4 and my Waldorf MicroQ. I've screeched around with it a bit but havn't actually produced any tracks with it yet. I think theres a learning curve you need to go through with any synth before you jump into full on production with it. So I dont get sidetracked with other options while trying to learn these two I'm going to keep it to a bare minimum. Lets see what happens ;)

I do my best tracks when I visit a mate and when we use his computer...because I have to work differently...
