A close friend of mine is having her birthday on saturday (the last day of the week) and i want to get her an iTunes gift card.
who cares
i thought it would be good for me to also get a card. however, how deep is iTunes in the EDM category?

or should i turn to hip hop, which is much more available

It is more Hip Hop based, but I don't think either are covered in detail.
I also resent the fact that you pay close to 80% of the normal retail value of an album, but only get a damn Mp3...

If you want trance then you should get her a credit to audiojelly or beatport... much more related to trance than itunes... itunes will have a few oakenfold/tiesto/sasha tracks but nothing too extensive...

the best of the best are http://www.edmdigital.com/catalog/

excellent site, with some serious tunes.

iTunes does have trance, but not everything. I don't use it, but my friend downloads lots of trance from iTunes. I just give him $10, and he'll buy an album for me. And its much cheaper than the cd at a store!

iTunes has commerical edm - i.e. DJ Sammy, 4-Strings, Blank & Jones, Scooter...etc..and if thats what you want then sure, iTunes is fine, I personally use it for all my metal/rock needs though.

agreed. Covers hiphop, rock, pop, all that other jazz pretty well though.
