I would have posted this in the Europe forums but there's no section for Italy.
I'm going to be visiting Italy from September 17th-23rd. Me and the wifey are fying in to Rome and plan to stay for a couple of days and then go out into another city before coming back to Rome on the 22nd. Where should I go? We were thinking Florence and then renting a car there and driving all around. What's a good place to go?
Where should I stay in Rome? Any other city?
What good clubs/bars are there?
What should we do??? |

| go to florence but dont rent a car theres no parking spot instead take the train like we did. I can't help u with the bars and stuff since i was too young to enter. But i recommend looking at gould and david also walk around the city to the bridge and get the view there. Be careful where you eat because there is some really ty food there. I ate pig mostly fat(the white thing) with a thin slice of bread. In fact eat at restaurants and don't eat at mcdonalds. |

I think (if I'm wrong some Italian dude / girl can correct me) that you have two options:
go for culture: Florence (beautiful), Venice maybe
go for clubbing: cities at the beach like Rimini (which does have some scene going on)
When you want the best of both, your best bet is probably Milano.
This coming from someone who has been at both cultural and clubbing places in Italy, but still, I'm no Italian so I think there are people here that can tell you far more than me. |

So take the train around Florence? I was thinking about getting a car and driving it all around there and Tuscany. I figured it might be a good adventure. But I'm taking a train from Rome.
I don't know how far everything is from each other. How far is the coast from Florence to drive? Or take a train?
What's gould and david?
I'll remember not to order the pig. :happy2: So the pig was at McDonald's or a restauraunt? |
