Alright Guys,
Just wonderin if anyone would know how to re-create this bass sound using a softsynth

Ferry Bass

I dunno how to make that, but it sounds rather, Vanguard, to me.

Hmm, I think you can get there with a pulse waveform, or maybe a sawtooth combined with a noise... If you're using ReFX Vanguard, I recommend either the "pulse pwm" or the "synced saw" oscillator.
Then you'll require some pulse width modulation, maybe...
The main envelope should have short attack and delay times, a sustain level at around 50%. The trick is now to use a second envelope with zero attack, 50% decay, zero sustain to modulate the filter cutoff. I think that's probably the key.

I've tried it now. Think I got the envelope right, but my attempt still sounds too cold and metallic... the synced noise waveform in vanguard seems to work quite well.
