Are there any prog DJs out there who plays the same track every set?

I've noticed trance DJs, the likes of PvD, Tiesto, Ferry, always have signature tracks they always play. Yet their prog peers, to my knowledge, Sasha, Digweed, Sander don't really have tracks they consistently play.
Can anybody name some big name prog DJs that do?
And if not, maybe someone can give some thoughts as to why that is. |

maybe thats what makes them progressive? :)
they don't need to play Nothing But You and Punk in every set as PVD and Ferry |

Don't rely on tranceaddict.com for an opinion on progressive. Why? Simple.
All trance is mass produced formulaic garbage at this point, and all the progressive trance DJs are following that same formula, except they're dropping their tempos down to 130 and calling it progressive. (except for a few notable exceptions - Max Graham, Greg Benz, Kosmas Epsilon, etc). Would name more but I'm tired. |

Not entirely true. MOST trance these days is tripe. However, there are a few that are churning out consistent quality and hopefully will continue to do so.
To name a few: John Askew, Alex MORPH,Sander Van Doorn

They all have their tracks that they will go play. Just most people Can't ID them... I mean do you see Tracklists every weekend for Sasha & Digweed? Not that they are even prog djs anymore.
Normally you may see 1 Tracklist every month or 2?
Sasha & Digweed have been raping...
Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemøller Remix) (both)
Freeform 5 - Electromagnetic (Tiefschwarz Remix) (both)
Guy Gerber - Stoppage Time (Remix?) (digweed)
Playgroup - Behind the wheel (dj kicks electroclash vocal mix) (Sasha)
Moby - Lift Me Up (Sasha)
Most of them have played Mr. Brightside (maybe not digweed, at least a few times)
I think it just comes down to knowing the tracks. Most prog djs don't seem to have as many gigs as trance djs, so... |
