We just got in a mini-press release regarding the upcoming world tour:

Depeche Mode World Tour
(Dusseldorf, Germany, June 16th)

Depeche Mode today announce their 2005 - 2006 World Tour, their first in almost five years. The band will be showcasing tracks from their eagerly anticipated new album (produced by Ben Hillier), as well as performing some of their greatest hits.

One of the biggest bands in the world today, and renowned for their groundbreaking live performances, this Depeche Mode concert series will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of touring.

Prior to their European tour, Depeche Mode will undertake a six week American tour this autumn, before heading to Europe in 2006.

Depeche Mode last toured in 2001 with "Exciter". The band played an incredible 85 shows to sellout audiences of nearly two million people.

I saw them during the Singles tour.. great show, but it's not Depeche Mode without Alan Wilder.

Admittedly, it's not the same without Alan Wilder. However, I'm still a die-hard fan and I'll take Depeche Mode with or without Alan Wilder.

For the time being as I wait for DM, I'll be attending an OASIS concert tomorrow night at Molson Amp.;)

Blasphemous rumors has gotta be my theme song to life!

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumors, but I think that god's got a sick sense of humor, and when I die I expect to find him laughing!

Oh man I can smell that cheese from here!!

Depeche Mode was the first band I actually knew the name to back when I was a wee lil guy. My brother used to crank them and I loved it! Good stuff

Tickets are on sale for the European tour already, however North America we have to wait for a later date to buy tickets.

Oh well, I'm going to OASIS tonight and let the British invasion begin with this band, followed by Coldplay this summer!:toocool:
