| What does everyone think of him? In my eyes he's one of a number of Techno producers who stood the test of time. From the onset of his music career he's incessantly been producing quality Techno, Trance, and Acid, with a good deal of Detroit influence, and likewise dabbled in Electro and Ambient, among other styles as well. Not only that, but the Kanzleramt label (founded by Heiko & Bernhard Laux) has likewise been dishing out some quality stuff, and still does to this day. Respect. |

He's cool in my book.. Used to love his sounds, I'm not really into it anymore but he's still quality.
On the other hand I'm not too fond of the latest developments around the Kanzleramt releases, the last few have been pretty subpar as far as I'm concerned. Too much of those uninspired Kowalski-like releases. Not my cup of tea. |

Yea, i have to agree for the most part. Earlier releases of the label were a lot better, but I'm not altogether fond of those Kowalski-like productions as well, too bouncy and all over the place for the most part. Some post-millenium releases were pretty decent though, like "Ornaments," "Offshore Funk," Diego's Thought Pattern pt. 2, and some tracks from Damon Wild's "Downtown Worlds." Surely they could've been better, but when one compares the label to Intec or something of the sort, it's not any the worse imo. But don't get me wrong, nowadays Kanzleramt is not even close to being one of my favourite labels. For the most part I just wanted to give some acclaim to the guy who's done his part for the Techno community and supported newcomers through his label along the way, for better or worse. :) |

| Sure.. I DO value Laux as well.. Most definitely. It's just the Kanzleramt releases as of late which I'm not too fond of. |
