is anyone better now than they were before?

so many people complain about how "trance is dead" "its not as good as 1999" "tiesto sold out" "ferry's new stuff sucks" etc etc. its kind of annoying. can it be put down to people's tastes changing or not changing with respect to their favourite djs and producers? have these producers actually lost touch and production standards have dropped over time? or is it just crap? does anyone say "wow ferrys old stuff was , hes on fire now!" is anyone producing better than they were before? or are we all stuck in the past? what you think?

People don't take the time to realize sasha's skills with ableton that he didn't have before. But my biggest complaint right now is that I don't really get that spiritual feeling from trance as i used to from tracks such as 'gamemaster' and 'flesh.' I'd actually say G&D are producing better, 'without your near' and 'fade away' are both great.

P.S. Ferry's new stuff still owns.

well The Digital Blonde is one producers which just got better and better by time 8)
NuDarkBeat
production quality has not dropped. but the innovation that the artists used to incorporate into their music isnt as pure today as it was back then.

another thing, the overall "sound" has changed with time, these days alot more producers are using software synths etc which has lead to an overall change in the music in many subtle ways
Light The Fuse
zabielas production is only gunna get better.

probably the same with your old fave j00f (we are all still waiting for his defining track)

Pryda, Ingrosso and Angello are killing it atm....

He was much better during the mid to late 90's IMO.

nah the remix of Point Zero showed his true class. purely massive. and Karma and Cyan will proove it again. I prefer his new more darker and heavier style than his old more melodic style
