so I was jogging the other evening and it came pouring down pretty hard right in the middle of my course, and to add to the badluck I dropped my mp3 player in a puddle of water so when I arrived home, I was still working, but next morning.. RIP

so yeah I'm looking for a new mp3 player, 512 meg max, good quality, shock resistant, and easy to switch from one song to another while jogging..

Right now I have my eyes on the Iriver wich seems pretty good, Samsungs are neat too altough exaggeritly small..

So any good advices?

and please dont mention anything about Ipods...

I still use Sony Walkmans with MP3 CDs. I must be getting old. The technology basically stores songs before it spins the disk again so the two AA batteries last a long dang time and it doesn't skip ever when I exercise. ONly complaint I have is that Sony won't let you crank volume at high decibels I reckon to save your hearing. Haven't heard much about the iPOD business, but if it isn't a higher volume than what I got, I don't want it.

Do those diskless contraptions produce volume? Also, how long do the batteries last? I'm not particularly concerned with price, just quality since I walk about 4-1/2 miles a day.

;)

do the melbourne shuffle with your apple iPod Shuffle

i like it a lot. $99 is a rip off though for only 512 mb. BUT, i did get an employee discount.

someone stole the emblem off my car, so i put the Apple sticker right where it used to be :)

Well, that was about stupid. Any volume or audio quality to the machine? How many batteries does it use and how long do they last?

Well, thanks n00b. If we wanted life experiences, we would've known not to ask you to begin with, so why are you posting at all?
