but yea, sometimes in the middle of the night, i wake myself up because my bottom jaw like jerks forward violently and my teeth will hit...and i wake up and i'm just like, "wtf" it's weird...

I've had that weird, sudden, jerk and grind too.

Just for the record, my parents both have a lot of cavities and it's genetic. I brush twice a day and floss almost everyday too. Almost all of the cavities are between my teeth though. My dentist told me it's not good to nibble on food a lot, but one has to eat 4-5 times a day, maximum, including soft drinks and anything else with sugar. The pothead that I've been, I used to snack a lot and that may be part of the problem. If you haven't been in as long as some of you haven't been, I'd recommend getting to the dentist's for a cleaning. Better to be safe than sorry, I can truly say. I also have to have all four wisdom teeth pulled, which I've avoided since I was 18. So this is gonna be a fun tooth year, with lots of needles in my mouth. :(

Oh well. Hopefully the novocaine will work on me this time. Once I took about four shots to stop the pain.

All I can say to the dentist avoiders is that I went recently (for the first time in 4 years) needless to say I got "ohh well looks like we are going to be seeing alot of eachother.... " :nervous: FIVE fillings from at start point of 0 all had to say was "but... but... I thought my teeth were ok"

I just resigned from my job. Looks like I'll stay two to three weeks to help train a new guy and then I'm out. Finally!

This is good, since I went to the dentist for the first time in three years today, and found out I have 13 cavities. Outrageous! Fortunately my insurance will cover some of it. Just figured I'd let you all know.

Better than about 13 missing teeth like homey. Got a few patches here and there so it doesn't look bad up front. I take it you didn't find another job as a model for Crest toothpaste either. Hope you have another job lined up, else you shouldn't have quit your current one. It's nice to tell the man to shove it (and I've done that a few times in my life), but better to have a job waiting for you when you do it (which I didn't the first couple of times). Hope your case is not the later. If it is, better planning makes it an enjoyable experience the next time you tell your bosss to shove it up his pooper. BTW, an instant walk... like right out the damn door, slamming it behind you....is much, much better than a 2 week notice if you can afford it.

SO UNLUCKY, I have one tiny little wisdom tooth, and its not expected to cause me any problems for the forseable future! :D

My friend got 4 pulled in ONE GO and she was puking blood and after and half passed out in her moms car the whole way home just drooling blood and ... soooo nasty... yuck.

Best deal, trust me. I had one wisdom tooth pulled, then three the next time. It doesn't get any better with one or four, so just do it and get it done with in one painful time instead of two or three or four.

Damn hun, stay away from all the candy. Oh and yeah, Dr Ghosh mentioned something about having to remove 8 wisdome teeth from your grill. Break out the laughing gas, Erik is going under.

Now remember, however bad it gets, there's always someone worse off. I currently have 7 fillings and 7 big gaps where my molars used to be (they all had abcesses, and all at once). They were pulled under 2 sedatives around 4 years ago. I've not been back since.

ugh tmj is sooooooo not cool....trust me. I have it and it's really really bad! i have to go see specialists and the only way they can help is by charging me $4000 to dig wires in the back of my mouth...NO THANK YOU!!! So I have to get TMJ massages (which HURTS), and I have to fast as much as possible so I am not straining my jaw. My advice to you is to get the hell in, and see the dentist before it gets really bad. If you are just in the early stages of it, they can probably correct it. good luck!

Good move on the job, but sorry to hear about the teeth. I blame your dentist. I ing hate dentists.

i agree. in fact, i don't trust doctors. they have screwed up my body .. or maybe i screwed it up myself .. i have two permanent scars on my back and leg, and many tooth extractions to account for .. i once had 4 teeth pulled also, and yep .. i spewing blood out of my mouth like crazy ..

13 cavities?!?!?! Are you serious? That's crazy. I've never had one... I think it's because I don't like sweets! Goodness, that's crazy. I'm glad my teeth have always been well taken care of (*knock on wood). Congrats on giving your two weeks, I'll be doing the same on Monday.
