I agree to a point. I think the drinking age should be 20. It would be great if it was 18, however our parent's generation (baby-boomers) kind of screwed it up for us, and then it was put to 21. There really isn't a huge difference between a 20 and a 21 year old...maturity wise...so I don't think it would be a big deal. |

Yeah I'm going on 20 and I wish I could go to clubs. I have over-protective parents and i'll admit, not a lot of close friends. It would be easier for me to go if I had some who liked the same type of music, I just haven't found many (only online really). I've been to events before, and a two clubs (Necto in Ann Arbor to see Armin twice, and last year to Bleu in Detroit to see Tiesto).My parents trust me and all they are just super-worried about me going to Detroit alone....anyone in the same situation I am? |

first off the rest of the world has only a loose drinking age most countries don't have one at all, nore is the alcohol tax so high. I guess that's why it isn't viewed as such a problem in other countries. I've been to a few and everybody drinks, few get drunk, and nobody cares...would be tough to change in the US at this point tho without some chaos. Enough with that
there are a lot of clubs depending on your area that are 18+ and if you're close to canada the clubs are all 19+
lastly, you don't live forever enjoy being pre-21 you'll never be again but edm shows will continue forever (pretty wise and ominous huh?) |
