| I am going over to thailand in the fall and going to a fullmoon party. I heard that the main island were there held is full of cops. Enroute and on sight-uniform and undercover. I also heard there were other islands without the police presense for these partys. If anyone has some tips or suggestion's I would apprecciate it. |

i can only presume you'd be troubled by police pressence at a party if you were contemplating consuming controlled substances .. and tbh if you want a tip then not taking drugs would be a good one .. i certainly wouldnt risk it .. rotting away in some thai prison for life probably or even getting the death penalty ..
if you dont mean drugs then i dont see why police should bother you at a party ..
EDIT: how is this evn related to uk chat? |

I have not been there but my friends had and these are the following warnings from them:
1. Controlled substances (20+ years to life to death penalty)
2. Con artists( pick pockets inculuded)
3. Check your personal belongings(bags, wallet, shoes etc, everytime you leave them out of sight for a few minutes...they can put stuff in there that might land you in the slammer)
4. Transvestites(Thailand is notorious & world famous for this; the naked eyes cannot tell the different so be very careful.
5. HIV's and other STD's, Thailand is infested with this and such parties are a gathering of such deadly bugs!
6. Don't party to hard/drinking to much and be out of self-control...otherwise, all of the above as the risk you will get into.
Good luck and have fun by enjoying/respecting the culture. It's a nice country and very hospitable since most of the people are Buddhists(honest, passive and warm attitude of a people. The cuisine is enticing and the beaches are nice as well. Enjoy and best of times to you.:D |

Go to Chaweng in Koh Samui if you want any pre party fun... Most full moon parties happen in Koh Tao if I remember correctly - crazy nights full of every pleasure you could possibly imagine.
Dont worry about the Trannies - just look out ofr an adams apple and you should be set...
Do be careful about things that you may get in trouble for - Yellaghost is correct about their strict penalties...
Do not under any circumstances insult the roytal family - big big no no in Thailand
One of the greatest countries on earth - you can anything cheap - just learn how to barter - boat trips to the islands where parties are are great fun...try them if you can.
Have a great time!!!
p.s - if you are in Patpong and you go to a club do not under any circumstances go into a back room with the girls (no matter how fine she is!!!) - you have been warned |
