i just baught the coldplay cd last week and love it. i normally never get alternative type cds anymore, but coldplay is one group that is worth the price.
to all you ppl that have heard the whole cd or own it...whats your favorite songs from it so far? and what songs do you think would make for good remixes?
my favs:
square one
white shadows
talk
low
twisted logic
remix:
i think low would make a good trance remix
maybe marco v could do a bootleg mix to speed of sound like he did to clocks...i love that mix. |

^ wtf? sorry dude but thats way off...
i used to be the biggest alternative junkie back in the day...the cross of the millenium is where it breached its decline and it still hasn't recovered. groups like coldplay are only diamonds in the rough, but the scene as a whole is very weak. i think 99% of the ppl on this forum will agree with me when i say, you want hot girls go to clubs that play HOUSE music. thats where they're all at. skybar/drink on a saturday, or any of the richmond adelaide clubs that play exclusively house music. the hip hop girls are way to slutty and skanky (and then theres the ones that just fake that image to get attention).
if you're talking about softer groups like coldplay, you'll prolly catch hot girls...but when you get into the harder groups, no way (of course a generalization). |

well see we're talking oranges and apples here. yeaqh for sure if u go to clubs ur going to find alot more hotter girls at places that play hip hop or house. there are no rock clubs any more in T.O/. cept for phoenix and 107. but what im saying is there is alot more hotter girls listening to rock then they do house or hip hop. u dont believe me go to a concert. any concert. hell go to the states and go t oan indie rock club in florida. trust me on this one im not talking out of my ass.
and yes i agree rock went down the tubes at one point. however, it is slowly making a rise and a comeback. ju7st be patient. i see it making a huge comeback already |

Square One is a good track
I don't think this is quite as good as the last one though... I guess it still has to grow on me... |

| Just bought the album, it's one of my all-time favourites now. Have to say Fix You is one of the best, but Square One and What If come in close seconds, minus Speed of Sound :P |

| fix you isn't one of my favs, but i do enjoy it. i could totally see it being played in a movie at the 'emotional' scene. |

| Ha! That's totally what I thought of it at first too... it just grew on me. *sigh* sappy music... |

I've actually been listening to the cd non-stop since it came out. At work about 3hrs a day, in my car on the way home. --> pretty sad.
Anyways, top 5 in order.
1. Hardest Part
2. Speed of Sound
3. White shadows
4. What If
5. Fix You |
