shifting balance?

After listening to a loud sound for a long while on my computer, it sounds like the volume balance either shifts to the left or to the right. Problem is, I have no idea what's causing it. At first I thought it was my ears, so I tried listening on headphonnes and switching sides, but it was still shifting. :conf:

That's called stereo.

I think it's been out for while ;)

But no seriously:
Was this on a particular track or is this a constant issue?
Aquarian
It seems to be consistant regardless of the track playing. At some point, one side becomes louder than the other. Then I go into the sound control panel, shift the balance to the other side to compensate, and it's fine. Then if I wait for awhile, it resets itself. :conf:

Maybe, if you have this problem with all music and sounds ( like in games or movies or whatever), the cable between your soundcard and your speakers is broken, or it makes a bad connection.
Aquarian
hmmm, could this be from the soundcard? What if the circuits inside the socket are damaged - then it would sound the same as if my speakers or headphones were damaged.

I had a similar problem, In my case the volume was going form louder to quieter and viceversa, I dotn really remmeber if it was only this and not shifting form left to right.
but the problem was the cable that connects form the speakers to the computer, and also I had to fix my speakers.

I recommend you to try to fix it, replacing the cable wich is cheaper, and if this doesn't work, then bring your speakers to some technciian for fixing it.

Nowadays mys peaklrs sound nice, but if i set them on Sorruound Sound, it will have the same problem, I mean i can not listen to sorround,, Dont knwo why this got damage on my speakers.

And about your ears, I also tought about it, and i went to The docotr, for my bad I knew that i had lost some Listening.

So i recommend you to take some examn about your ears, beacuse everythign you loose there, its NEVER gonna come back.

io used ot listen to music very veyr loud , but nowadays i just lower the volume considerably beacuse i dotn wanna keeop damaging my speakers, and if you ar ebeing a Dj in a club, you shoudl get some ear Protection.

remember your speakers can be replaced, but Not your ears!.

See ya, And hope this help you.

I know it's not the chord because it happends on both my speakers and headphones - that's why I thought it might be the sound card itself.
