Let me be the first to say that Starscape sucked...
waste of money
waste of time :whip:
To those who advised me to see Digweed in DC last night, I regret not listening to you. The only thing that made the night bearable was the fact that I had great company...
I'm tired - going to bed - I'll bitch more elaborately later |

| I wonder how it sucked. The line up felt like a mini Ultra Music Festival. |

Ok... here I go
RITM was a freakshow - quite simple... with the vocalist(??) screaming lame lines like "we are all the same.... we are all the same", I was less than impressed.
I forget who the DJ was between RITM and Sander, but he put down a few good tracks.
Sander K. was boring - the music was just slow, with no go buildups or breakdowns. The audio system was too low if you weren't standing directly in front of the stacks. It also didn't help that there were about 15 numbnuts up dancing on stage, directly in front of Sander, like it was some sort of dance competition - to whoever that was, I didn't pay to see your lack of dancing skills. WTF w/ the breakdancing to mellow-trance?? Also, some idiot guy up on stage kept trying to 'pump-up' the crowd and get them to make some noise (pure attention whore)- it's somewhat indicative of how dull the night was that there even was a need for someone to do that (I can't remember the crowd not getting into PVD Tiesto or Sasha, etc.). It also seemed that an abnormal proportion of people were rollin' their asses off... I'm sorry, but if you're 20-something years old, walking around w/ a pacifier in your mouth, you need to seriously re-evaluate your position in life.
It's unfortunate that the night turned out as it did - the venue and set-up had (and has) incredible potential... however, that potential was not met. As one last kick-in-the-pants for the night, I saw some kid destroy a beautiful Titanium-Silver E46 BMW on 695, about one mile from my house... sigh |

| WOW Im really glad I didn't come down for this. As much as I love Sander, those e-tards with the pacifiers would have totally pissed me off. I can't stand that !!!:whip: Every year I hear nothing but bad things about Starscape. What a joke. |

starscape used to be one of my favorite annual parties. but it looks like it really went downhill the past 2 years, and their lineup always failed to impress me. but the vibe was always fun and so were the afterparties. ultraworld needs to step it up a little i think or they are going to become another Local 13. |
