Tiesto in Concert - October, Washington DC

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but Tiesto's agency in their version of his TiC press release have announced that a TiC will take place in Washington DC.
Also coming to Miami and New Orleans (Voodoo Festival).
Venues will be announced soon. Big venues, don't worry :p

the voodoo music festival is on the 29th and 30th of october, so we know where tiesto will be on sat. the 29th. |

well when u think about it, a regular rock concert is usually only 2 -3 hrs max...but yeah we're all used to 6+ hr sets :crazy: actually a concert could get boring...just being rooted to one spot, your seat -- unless it was just the open floor -- while paying VIP prices :whip:

LA - aug 20 - i'm in attendance
Miami - oct 20 - i'm in attendance
DC - oct 21 or 22 (i'm not sure) - i'm in attendance
New Orleans - Oct 29 - not sure if i'm going, they say it's pretty dirty and dangerous during Voodoo festival.
Grand Finalle - Las Vegas for New years eve (sorry it was my fault - it's not gonna be at Ice, some other venue) - I'm in attendance and right after this gig i'm leaving for a few months to The Netherlands. |

i am new to this board, and will check in occasionally to see if i can answer any questions as they come up, until the blog is set up on the www.tiestoinconcert.com website end of the month. i work with GK / Angel LIVE on this project.
MCI center is correct, late OCtober. There will be no NY date in 2005 b/c of routing / venue conflicts - we just couldn't get the right location this time around but will next year. MCI center is an incredible venue, like the Hard Rock Live Arena in FLorida, it's state of the art.
the concert is a four hour performance which though not what it was in HOlland (I saw the first night last OCtober)this is the US and arenas like MCI / Hard Rock Live and other major concert venues just don't allow for all night gigs. this is as long or longer then any rock concert you will see, and probably with the hour introduction, about as much time as you would spend in a nightclub for a show.
we are concentrating the sets a bit, but the production / performances will be just as intense and well produced - the design team on this project has created sets and lighting for the biggest acts in the concert business and what we've come up with for the US is brilliant and four hours of Tiesto is longer then most of the shows we've produced with him, so it's certainly something unique.
there will be a lot of questioning until you see the US Tour first hand, but after producing hundreds of shows, i can tell you that . this is going to be unlike anything the US has had to date.
