Don't know if this is too expensive but a few of my friends stayed here last time we went...real good bang for buck, I was told:
Quality Hotel Downtown

Might also want to check out hotels.ca and select Montreal with your dates the sort the results by price...you can't go wrong with this site...(where my friends found the above hotel) |

I'm on my way to MTL in less than an hour and I'm there for a month..... if you guys were coming while i'm there, I'd say that my apartment has space for a few of you to crash. :p
ps. they have a cheap hostel really close to downtown that you might wanna check out... www.hostellingmontreal.com/en/home.aspx
I stayed there once and it was a pretty good place :)

I wanna see what it's like before deciding where to move: it's either going to be Toronto or Montreal! I have been to MTL 2 times this year, but never really got the chance to see what it's like to live there.
And too bad you'll be there on July 22....that's the day I leave!:whip: .....but I hope you have fun! :)

lol, too bad you're leaving that very day.
Do you speak French? I've heard its fairly difficult to get a decent job or anything there if you're not bilingual (therein lies my problem with moving there :p) |

heh, yeah that is too bad...
I speak a little french, I can just get by. I dunno, whenever there's a french speaking person at a store here, and can't communicate, I can translate most of the stuff for him/her. But I am DEFINITELY not bilingual....yet. My problem is I try to learn too many languages all at once!
And the only job you or I could probably get there is....TELEMARKETING!!!:whip: :haha: lol

lol, I tried learning french, german, and romanian all at once. I got lazy, and quit on all three. I'll change that this year, really want to be able to speak french. |

ahaha youre just like me! I'm working on Japanese, Spanish, French, and a little bit of Inuktitut and Arabic but I should REALLY be focussing on my French for now!!! ...lol I realize that now that I'm here in Montreal!:whip:
