High Quality Radio Receivers?

I want to record some shows off the radio, but usually i get crappy quality, because my reciever isnt up to it.
Ive heard about a 'special' type of radio reciever which is supposed to be very very good at getting the radio signal. Basically its the closest thing to having a digital stream or recording from the source.
I was wondering if any of my fellow tech heads had any ideas as to what type of reciever this may be?
please any info would be much appreciated. |
