I've been thinking about getting either one of these, gonna use it mainly for rhythm, and I'd really apreciate if you could answer these questions for me, it would help me a lot to decide whether an Electribe is what I'm looking for or not :)
Besides basic synth work I also want to use it as a step sequencer with my computer and use it to control various aspects of my computer sequencing projects:
I have questions 1 and 2 answered, but how about #3 ??
1. Can I use it as a step sequencer (I'm pretty sure I can, I just want to be certain :))?? Can I program patterns on it and press play and have the Electribe send the midi notes to my computer??
2. Can I use it in keyboard mode and use the step keys to trigger drums in my computer??
3. are all the knobs and buttons on the unit midi capable?? could I set it up in a way to control VST plugins by turning the knobs on the Electribe??
bear in mind that I know that not all CC numbers match my vst plugins and I realize that I will probably have to setup an extensive patch in MidiOx to have everything work correctly....
Is all of this thearetically possible?? |
