Hi,

I am an American Student who is going abroad next year to Germany for the school year (basically a year). I was curios whats popular over there and how strong the dance scene is. Particularly with the Hardcore, and Psychedelic trance scene. Also, are raves common? Or is Germany all about House, or nothing at all? OR OR ORORROOR !!! AHHHH... sorry, I'm just really curios about how it is over there. Help a clueless kid out? :toothless

Thanks in Advance,
Max! :toocool:

PS - Sorry, I can't speak/write German much yet! :)

for pretty much all your psy/goa needs, can be switched to english (international site), with partylistings for all over the world

psy is very strong, but very community-oriented
southern germany gets more of the smaller parties, northern germany more of the huge (15k pax+) parties

EDIT: house? WTF is house? *g*

the most popular clubs in germany are in the western part...for example "tribehouse" or "cocoon club"...just to mention a few of them :)

try to come between june and september.the biggest open air events in europe are in or in the near sourorunding of germany...holland isnt far away:happy2:

just check out our german forum for roll calls and partys information...u wont miss anything :)

Someone has to destroy the american's image of Europe being the thing to go to when it comes to clubbing all night to dance and trance :p

We only have a few good partys in a month. And even then, those are scattered over the whole of Germany / Holland.
In most cases you gotta cope up with driving for 100 till even 200 miles to get to a decent party :(

That's true and perhaps the easiest way, to be up to date whats going on.
Except for Hardcore or Psy Trance Stuff/Events, which are seen around here rather seldomly. But I'm pretty sure, there are other boards or Event-Sites that are specialized on that.

dont go to a hardcore party:nervous:

i think u have a good view of germany and our citizens and if you visit one of these partys your view will be destroyed.uve never seen such strange and agressive people before.keep away ;)

yeah, i bet you don't wanna hang around with most of the hardcore-listeners here in germany. they mostly suck ass.
but if you plan to go to events in the netherlands (which often aren't too far away from germany) I can advise you to check out www.q-dance.nl! they are specialized in the harder styles in dance music and often have a hardcore and early rave area at their events.
in germany are some hardcore parties too (e.x. Nightmare In Germany, Hellraiser, Judgement Day, Hardcore Gladiators [check out www.ptp-entertainment.de (in german only)], and they even aren't that bad. unfortunately you will encounter many of those "suck-ass-gabbers", but of course some "normal" and cool partypeople, too :D
I have no clue about psy and goa (parties) though... ;)
