actually 2:
1- how do I set up other users?
2- where do I go to put my cable internet information in so that it gets back online?

I would STRONGLY recommend you wait till you get your hands on Windows 2000. I know you said you can't but NT is going backwards from Me almost. No plug and play. No USB and no DirectX gaming really and it has an ugly look and interface (Sorry Microsoft)
as for setting up your cable internet you'll have to install service pack 6 i think and make sure it has internet explorer 5 on it then right click on the internet explorer icon on the desktop and click properties. Go to connections and click the radio button that says >never dial a connection. Then click on lan settings and enter you cable internet proxy settings if any etc.
As far as users go have a look through the start menu and see what you can see as far as administrative tools go etc or user management from which you can create a account and give them specific access and to what on your system.
But please try to get 2000 as it makes this stuff so much easier for you |
