crowd recording > mixer recording
plus djs don't want you to record from the mixer because it could easily be ripped and sold... (if the dj accepts he won't play any white labels).

mixer recording > crowd recording
crowd recordings sound like crap. even if its lossless. it's just the nature of the recording. i'd rather have mixer recordings because, well, its easier to listen to at home. and 9 times out of 10 a DJ won't release a cd thats a direct live rip of their show for a number of reasons. |

direct recordings are lifeless, they do not represent the vibe of the night.
A live recording done in miami, boston or montreal would all sound the same... boring.
anyways its a matter of taste and i can tell you a majority of people prefer live with crowd recordings. |

| this set is sick...i dont know how you guys are saying its so terrible. I mean its not the best of live recordings ive heard but its right up there. Also, it's great to be able to hear how the crowd is feeling the music! Now lets get that playlist together!!! |
