hola en San Sebastien ! (Donostia) - update with pictures!

greetings from the friendly neighbourhood of San Sebastien! or also known as surfer town Europe. San Seb is located on the northern coast of Spain by the bay of Biscay in what is known as Basque country. Self autonomous governing region. This town is extremely underrated for it´s natural beauty, charm of people, and weather make it an absolute paradise.
there is an abundant number of beaches nearby, one of which is a surfer beach where a segment of the World Surfing Championships are head annually.
My hostel is called the LoLo or better known as Énjoy San Sebastien recommended to me by Maria (hysterie) when she was here last year. its small and very intimate and usually turns out with you having drinks every nite with other travellers and then further getting drunk on the streets of Donostia - quite the typical European thing for travellers. the people here look absolutely gorgeous and hav tans to die for, not to mention the backpacker chicks are extremely cute as well and very very outgoing :D
one great thing about Donostia is that its about an hour from Bilbao, so i went there yesterday with this American and Mexican girl from where i was staying. had the most unbelievably delicious lunch. the cuisine in Basque country is to die for and they made some great wines aka. vino as well. when i get home i will list some various tapas that i tried for anyone who´s interested as well as some great local places to feast in.
so from here i´m off to Madrid again but not staying as long as i had been there already. Kristina, unfortunately i can´t make it to Bologna since i hav to be in Granada to catch a flight back to London. i´ve been flying around like crazy already since it´s so incredibly cheap here. will elaborate more later.

| Amazing pics Emz. I´m in Valencia myself, heading to Ibiza via Denia as of tomorrow...for two days. I can´t wait. I´ve said it again and I´ll say it now, España ing RULES. Like Greece and Cyprus but just tons of parties. I've even met this Greek girl working the hostel I´m at in Valencia...was jokes she looks at my name and says my name, then says 'you speak Greek' then I respond 'Nai' in Greek. lol My first thought, ', finally someone I can talk to in a language I understand' haha. Not that Spanish is insanely hard, but it takes some work, anyway, I´m out, enjoy the rest of june ppl, Ciao! I will upload pics/vids later... |

how long¿ not long enuff ! i hope forever ! :toothless
nah honestly, it´s so damn unfair, about every single person that i´ve met so far who isn´t Canadian gets more vacation time than we do, maybe with the exception of a few Americans .. we´re working our asses off all year round and getting totally jipped.

welcome to most of the reason why i want to move someday.
Europe and most of the world = Money is a means to an end..
Canada & US = Money is the end goal itself.
Id rather have money working for me then spend my life working for money. |

yeah i know it's quite crazy .. most of the people whom i met travelling who hav been to TO find it quite boring to be honest. they def. dig the west coast of Canada and Quebec a lot more .. TO seems to lack a serious sense of self identity. again a city made up of a zillion cultures with none of its own .. |

Man, I can't think of any words that could describe what it would feel like to be in the North of Spain right now. It's so hard not to sound overbiased when I talk about it because when you're there it has an unresistable charm. Before I get all poetic and emotional I'll stop there....
Anyhow, all I have to say is enjoy everything the north has offer and take advantage of Basque Cusine as you probably already know is :eyespop: |
