Trendy restaurants music

Every times that I go in some "trendy" restaurants I am wondering what is playing. Its some kind of minimalist techno music, its very repetitive, the tracks can last for an hour with only very subtle changes. The best example that I could find in my music collection is Buddha's Patio from Bitsream. Keep only the bass loop and you have something very similar to what I am looking for. Anyone have an idea of what genre is that ? Any suggestion of artists / tracks ?

look up the Buddha lounge Cd-- that's got some good stuff.
But, I'll tell you- I'm a big fan of lounge music. Check it out, for sure:

I dunno if this is really what you are looking for, but at some beach-restaurants they tend to play stuff like "Ibiza Lounge", "Café del Mar 1-infinity" :P and "Ibiza Vanguard Music" is definitely worth a recommendation. |

Theres a company called Muzak that used to be known for elevator music. Now they make music for tons of restaurants, clothing shops etc. They actually have some really great stuff. Some of it reminds me of french house. I've been looking for a retail cd to buy but I couldn't find one. But maybe if you hunt you will find something. Anyone know more about this company? I would love to get my hands on some of this stuff.
