thats all I can suggest you do is look at download.com to look for new drum kits, and also edit the sounds you currently have, you should get somewhere that way, it all starts off as the same sounds after all. try blending with different styles too. try a bit of D&B with a basic dance beat

you should check out the TR-909 kit there, this is your basic trance kit (haven't checked the kits on there myself, but 909 sounds is what ya need)
btw, check out the acapellas on that site! It's monstrous!
Everybody! now! I was awed by them! |

get your basic 909? These things go for over a $1000
It is a genuine classic, but $1000 is still way to much for only a handful of sounds....I'm not dissing this machine, when I have dough and a more complete setup I will want to get my hands on one, as anything you sample from it sounds different from something coming from the box itself....and rebirth is ok, but not the real thing either.
Anyways for $1000 you can also get a drumbox with loads and loads of drumsounds, which is prolly a better idea than to get a real 909 (unless you have a pretty complete setup already)
And as for tweaking your sounds...wave editors and filters and effects can do miracles :D |
